Job Description

Provides military subject matter expertise to assigned programs.

1. Researches, identifies, and makes recommendations about resources required for task execution and completion.

2. Gathers, processes, and analyzes operational data.

3. Assists with the testing and development of new systems or updates to existing systems to meet client needs.

4. Identifies and recommends emergent relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes.

5. Writes and updates project documentation including system procedures, presentations, and training materials.

6. May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff.

7. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.

8. Participates in special projects as required.

Tasks in direct support of the government include, but are not limited providing or ensuring the team provides the following services:

The Contractor shall work with the IT solutions section, when required, to determine best Course of Action (CoA) and approved methods/equipment. The Contractor shall survey, evaluate and provide technical advice concerning all existing infrastructures, communications, power, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning and environmental aspects of the site. The Contractor shall provide an implementation plan, in accordance with the requirement, reflecting the strategy, schedule and recommendations (e.g., site architecture, topology and configuration) for the implementation.

Types of support and services provided by the Contractor shall include, but not be limited to: Provide technical expertise support for required hardware, software, and telecommunications architecture design that will satisfy immediate requirements. Facilitate subsequent modification and conserve resources. Perform site surveys to identify any shortfalls and recommend a technical solution to the Government based on site surveys to address requirements.

Change/Configuration Management – Provide required information to the HNCOI Configuration Control Board (CCB) to ensure that all necessary requirements are approved by each section.

Site Surveys - The Contractor shall perform site surveys at required locations. The findings of the site survey and any actions required in preparation for system installation shall be documented and reported.

Inquiries – Address technical inquiries, perform research, and interface with outside distributors, customers, and support organizations for IT related requirement issues.

Technical Solutions - Support CCSD customers by interpreting IT requirements, gathering additional information, and provide technical sound solutions in accordance with CCSD and JBSA Lackland baseline configurations.

Perform weekly reviews of overall projects, ensuring the proper assignment and involvement is accomplished. Provide input on project priorities based on customer need date and concurrence in HNCOI CCB.

Communicate with all other sections within HNCOI and appropriate host base units, such as 502CS, 690th, AF JWICS, and NSA, ensuring baseline configurations are approved and appropriate IT assets are assigned and ready for deployment upon customer requirements and need dates.

Project Management oversight – Serve as IT Project manager for multiple projects ranging from small to large. Ensuring consistent effective communication and engagement with customers meeting their requirements. Ensure that new projects are valid and can be accomplished within customer’s requirement timeframes.

Quality Control/Quality Acceptance – Perform and monitor Quality Acceptance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program ensuring work within all HNCOI sections are meeting HNC expectations.

The Contractor shall provide software asset lifecycle management of HNC procured software, from procurement to retirement, which includes applications, license agreements as well as software upgrades. The Contractor shall provide asset inventory and services that track the financial aspects of an asset to include cost and depreciation, Task Order management, leases, maintenance agreements and service Task Orders.

The Contractor shall maintain software in accordance with DoD and Air Force instructions related to Unit Software License Manager.

Perform USLM inventories as required and report to the Government Lead.


Bachelors Degree in a related technical or military discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience.All personnel shall have at a minimum DoDD 8570.01-M and 8140 approved and registered IAT Level II baseline certification, with preferred Security + CE to be considered for this task order.


5-8 years of related experience supporting military operations.
