GD Health Solutions/ARMA have an exciting opportunity for individuals who are interested in supporting warriors with increased combat effectiveness, resiliency to show a measurable reduction in down time and create optimal performance on the targets. Additionally, this position will help to support and build stable families and support systems.

The Human Performance Program Advisor (HPA) functions as the coordinator and technical expert for functional training and rehabilitation services to military personnel.

The HPA, if required, will assist the HP Manager (Government) in the performance of their duties.

The HPA will be responsible for planning, developing and synchronizing technical training, guidance, and programmatic and policy recommendations. Key focus will be securing, protecting, and enhancing the health and fitness of each individual to promote mission readiness across the range of military operations.

The HPA will design, implement, and provide direct daily oversight of human performance services utilizing a phased and metered approach to maintain the required level of peak performance and reconditioning of the individual operator.

The program HPA will conduct inventories of Human Performance supplies required for the rehabilitation and training of personnel, and shall assist in preparing equipment and supply requisitions in order to replenish exhausted supplies, acquire preventive maintenance for Human Performance equipment, and presenting new and emerging equipment for purchase consideration.

Education

1. Bachelors Degree in Educational Psychology OR Industrial/Organizational Psychology OR Human Performance Technology OR Instructional Media/Technology OR Psychometrics OR a related discipline. 2. Masters Degree preferred. 3. Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification accredited by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)

Qualifications

5-8 years of related experience in industrial/organizational psychology, human performance technology, educational psychology, testing, psychometrics, or instructional media/technology.

The HPA must have a professional background from any of the disciplines within the Professional Sports Model.

In-addition to basic requirements, the HPA must have five (5) + years of specialized experience in the same or similar work described. Creditable specialized experience includes conducting long and short-range planning and coordination of new functional training and nutrition programs, a history of positive attributable results from HPA work and relevant work experience in a collegiate or professional level athletic environment, and experience conducting multi-domain programming such as lecture, multi-media and practical hands-on training related to strength, conditioning, performance nutrition and team dynamics.

The HPA must also be able to provide emergency first response, evaluate and recognize athletic injuries and illness, provide medical referrals, organize and administer records, and develop and coordinate detailed individual maintenance programs.

The HPA position requires a current certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
