Job Description

Full-spectrum Senior Trainer responsible for collective training for Mission Training Complex (MTC) to include the development of scenarios, script writing, and exercise direction for MTC driven collective events. This position will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the area of military Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming (LVC-G) training methods and procedures to include Simulations and Stimulations and other Mission Command Training enablers.

Responsible for collective MTC training to include the development of scenarios, script writing, and collective exercise direction. This position requires a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the area of military Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming (LVC - G) training methods and procedures to include Simulations and Mission Command Stimulations and other Training enablers. This position will act as an advisor, mentor, and SME for Brigade and Below Units during planning through execution to include After Action Review (AAR) of MTC driven collective events. This position will recommend LVC-G training strategies, methodologies, and techniques to meet and anticipate training requirements.

Responsible for the design of scenario based exercises to support Unit Commander's training objectives. This position will develop theater specific scripting of Master Scenario Events List (MSEL), or simulation control injects that are integrated with and support training exercises, and constructive staff training in a Live-Virtual-Constructive environment. This position will conduct in-depth research on evolving doctrine, theater specific operations, lessons learned and newly developed tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) used in the development of MSEL, or simulation control injects that accurately replicate the operational environment that the training is designed for. This position will determine the appropriate exercise inject methods and entry point.

Provide assistance during Mission Command Training Capability Program (MCTCP) driven events. This position will be able to provide basic courses on Army Mission Command Systems (AMCS) and how to employ these systems most effectively. This position is responsible for generating Operation Orders to drive Collective Events. This position will ensure Unit Leadership understands MTC capabilities in regards to operations, training, technical support, simulations, and distribution methodologies. Leading up to and during collective events this position will synchronize the capabilities of MTC training capabilities assets. Travel and night/ weekend work may be required to support Unit training. This position is responsible for administratively and operationally leading a team of skilled trainers.


Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience.


8-10 years of directly related experience in the development and delivery of technical training programs.

Recommended 20 years of military experience. Successfully completed Command and General Staff College (CGSC) achieving Military Education Level 4 (MEL4) schooling. Senior Warrant Officer with extensive operational experience in military training management, Combat Training Center (CTC) or combat experience can be considered. Preferred Field Grade thru General Officers holding successful duty positions at Battalion, Brigade, and/ or Division as the Commander, S3, and other Key Staff Positions within the Unit.

Unique/ Additional Requirements: Strong understanding of tactical and operational level of the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP). Highly desirable to have working knowledge and background in the AMCS and digital tactical operations center (TOC). Experience teaching, coaching, training, and mentoring Soldiers. Experience with Simulations, Stimulations, and/ or Gaming technologies. Understanding of Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming employment in support of training.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
