Job Description

Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration and/or enhancement of company technical products, programs and systems.

1. Provides direct support to airports and airport personnel for Threat Image Projection (TIP), TSA Training Kits, and TSA Simulation products. Well versed in the technical operation of Transportation Security Equipment with emphasis on image based systems such as X-ray and EDS.

2. Facilitates maintenance activity and help desk support for TIP, Training Kits, and Simulation devices and software. Act as first line contact for the airport to reach the support organization for TIP, Training Kits, simulation devices and software, and testing and training aids and images.

3. Performs tier 1 troubleshooting and support for TIP and Simulation software and training kit maintenance. Additionally, provides limited tier 2 support to training kits.

4. Will perform field level on-site support for TIP library installation and x-ray system configuration for optimum TIP performance.

5. Provides end-user training.

6. Performs various tests and documents results.

7. Schedules work to meet completion dates and technical specifications;

8. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced engineers and technicians, and may have supervisory responsibilities.

9. May serve as technical team or task lead.

10. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

11. Participates in special projects as required.


Bachelors Degree in Engineering.


10 years of professional experience with emphasis on training, help desk support, or other experience that will prepare the individual to act as single point of contact for airport personnel. Strong background in the function and operation of Transportation security equipment (TSE) and their related simulation products is essential to this position.
