Job Description

Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, maintenance and/or repair activities.

1. Analyzes standard contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements.
2. Develops logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies.
3. Follows established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
4. Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times.
5. Provides guidance and work leadership to less experienced staff members.
6. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
7. Participates in special projects as required.

Bachelors Degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience.


5-8 years of related experience in logistics, traffic and/or supply chain management. The ideal candidate would be a Junior ex-Navy who came off an LCS Class Ship with a logistics background.


1. Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, processes, and applicable regulations involved in supporting logistics operations
2. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant technology and equipment
3. Specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment
4. Proficient in Integrated Logistics Management and NAVY provisioning applications and resources such as ICAPS, CDMD-OA, NSEDR, FED-LOG a plus.
5. Background in working US Navy Supply System ordering Hull, Mechanical & Electrical Equipment (HM&E)
6. Knowledge reviewing and understanding NAVSEA (HM&E) drawings.
7. Experience with equipment/Systems Associated Parts Lists (APL’S) and interpreting manufacture part’s numbers.
8. Knowledge of National Stock Numbers (NSNs) How they are created, cataloged, and used
9. Knowledge of Source Maintenance and Recovery Codes (SM&R)
10. Should possess skills in supporting any type of Navy Logistics, such as reviewing Navy drawings List of Materials (LOM) and/or equipment technical manual parts list and subsequently order items.
11. Experience working with various navy material/parts websites and/or data bases. Such as COSAL’S, Weapon Systems Files.


The work is typically performed at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.
