Job Description

Contract duties include:

a. Provide physical security inspections of all spaces which process and store classified information, warehouses, plant rooms and any other room or facility to perform mission or support functions;
b. Provide physical security guidance and support to USG for all construction and rehab projects to facilities within, adjacent to or utilized by the Government within the compound. This guidance will incorporate all applicable laws, directives and regulations;
c. Provide security guidance for all requests for the placement of communications equipment within the SCIF and will conduct surveys and recommend draft language for approval/disapproval memos through the Chief, Physical Security as appropriate;
d. Inspect for classified material, and recommend the authorization of the release of all non-electronic equipment (i.e. desks, safes, office furniture, etc) prior to release from the SCIF;
e. Support building/area alarm system and perimeter intrusion detection systems as required;
f. Install and replace CClV cameras, camera related equipment and cables marked accordingly, as approved by USG;
g. Update audio/video to unclassified phone recording capabilities and video equipment as approved by USG.

Administers and coordinates the facility security activities for an office or group.

1. Administers and coordinates the DoD security program and other related security activities for a large office or group to ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies and procedures.

2. Provides guidance to managers and employees regarding security regulations and procedures.

3. Participates in the development and implementation of security procedures in coordination with government agencies and company management.

4. Conducts security briefings.

5. Develops and conducts security-related training programs.

6. Investigates security violations and recommends corrective actions.

7. Maintains liaison with outside agencies.

8. Assists employees in acquiring personal security clearance when required.

9. May enter security information into automated system and develop related reports as needed.

10. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced security staff.

11. Participates in special projects as required.


Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.


5-8 years of related experience in facility or industrial security administration, preferably in the government contracting industry

a. Practical experience performing physical security inspections;
b. Experience in completing Fixed Facility Checklist (FFC), Emergency Action Plans, and Facility Accreditations processes;
c. Practical experience in managing a physical security program compliant with ICD 705 and applicable regulations for a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF);
d. Experience with all aspects of IC directives, pertaining to TEMPEST, Telecommunications, physical intrusion detection and access control, and facility co-use;
e. Experience with all aspects of classified media destruction; and
f. Experience in developing applicable facility accreditation waivers, supporting documentation and making sure documents are properly maintained, and kept up to date.
